UV Masterbatch

UV masterbatch, also known as light stabilizer masterbatch, uses hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS) or UV absorbers as its core active ingredients. Added to polypropylene and polyethylene products, it significantly improves resistance to UV aging and yellowing, reduces embrittlement, and extends the outdoor service life of plastic products. Fundchem's Ele-Vin series UV masterbatch is produced on dedicated large-scale production lines at our own factory in Jiaozhou, with an annual capacity of 4,500 tons in 2025.

Dedicated Standards for Woven & Tarpaulin Applications

The FIBC grade is engineered for the tape extrusion and weaving process of PP bulk bags, FIBC containers and woven fabrics, meeting ISO 21898:2024 test durations from 300 h to 1,500 h, with water-repellent performance and food contact compliance. The PE tarpaulin grade suits tape extrusion and coating lines, withstands prolonged outdoor exposure, and provides reliable resistance to thermal-oxidative and UV aging for truck tarps, agricultural covers and similar applications.

Formulations for Every Process

On the same technical platform, dedicated formulations cover each conversion process: the PP fiber spinning grade meets UVA test standards from 300 to 2,000 hours with no screen clogging or filament breakage and withstands 300 °C processing temperatures; the nonwoven spunbond grade resists soil and pesticide corrosion and is compatible with flame retardants, suiting winter protection covers, weed-control fabrics and nursery fabrics; the nylon (PA6) grade achieves 1,000 h ≥ 80% retention; the hollow-sheet extrusion grade passes 2,500 h without chalking while maintaining mechanical properties at a 35% filler ratio.

Quality Control

Production lines use Coperion (Germany) technology and fully automatic dosing systems, with batch-to-batch consistency above 99.5%. Our in-house laboratory operates three US-made QUV weathering machines, running three tracking tests per batch with an overall pass rate above 98%; a dedicated outdoor fabric exposure yard tracks aging performance under natural conditions year-round. The product range spans cost-effective general-purpose, long-life export, color-specific and recycled-material grades, covering everything from domestic volume orders to demanding export projects.

For a Hebei FIBC manufacturer, a custom dual-protection masterbatch at 1% dosage passed dual anti-aging tests, withstanding 4 months of outdoor transport exposure and 70 °C container temperatures; the product pass rate rose from 72% to 100%, saving about RMB 50,000 per month.
